Amgen Tour of California
Stage Two
Sacramento, California
February 19, 2008

On a whim, I put my name into a drawing for VIP tickets to the Amgen Tour of California bike race.  The radio station I listen to called me up and told me I won.  I had no idea what I'd won but Tyler and I headed to Sacramento to figure it out on the day of the race.  It was an INCREDIBLE experience!!  We were treated to all the food and drink we wanted in a tent not 50 meters from the finish line.  It was the most exciting way to take a race in that I've ever experienced.

VIP Pass = Free Wine

"Hey Tyler!!  This tent is HEATED!!"

I'm pretty sure there will be a "no rednecks clause" in the giving away of VIP tickets next year.

Tyler and I kept shoving our VIP passes in each other's faces ala Wayne's World.

The peloton whizzes by us to complete lap two of the race's in city mileage.

Tyler making noise as the peloton flies by.

The riders start to raise out of their saddles for the final sprint.  Tom Boonen of the Netherlands won today's stage.

Did I mention?  ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!
